Georgia Lumley is an author and illustrator based in Berkshire. She has an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art, and a BA in Illustration from UAL.

Georgia works with mixed media and especially loves using collage, playing around with little elements to make sure they fit in the right space. She is drawn to layering textures, colours and monoprinting to create her work, enhancing all the different worlds she gets to create. Georgia also often goes location drawing to help find real-life elements to enhance her scenes. As well as illustrating, Georgia also enjoys writing, taking inspiration from conversations she hears around her. In 2025, she was shortlisted for The Batsford Book Prize and The Macmillan Illustration Prize.
