The Southbank Centre's A Poet In Every Port visits Estuary Festival

Friday 26 June, 7 - 8.30 pm

Chatham Library & Community Hub, Dock Road, Chatham ME4 4TX

Roger opens the evening with a 20-minute reading as part of the Estuary Festival, followed by local poets David Dykes, Sarah Hehir, Indigo Rose, Jake Nathan, Chika Jones, Zach Davies and Barry Fentiman-Hall. A wonderful free celebration of poetry from across the Thames Estuary, part of the Southbank Centre's A Poet in Every Port project.

The Southbank Centre's A Poet In Every Port Live

Sunday 12 July, 3.30–5pm

The Clore Ballroom, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, London SE1 8XX

Roger appears as Poet Ambassador at this free celebration of A Poet in Every Port, co-hosted by poets Will Harris and Vanessa Kisuule. He'll be joined on stage by the New Poets Collective, fifteen poets representing communities from Great Yarmouth to Bangor, before Roger takes to the stool at 4.15 pm for a 15-minute poetry set. A joyful, free afternoon on the South Bank not to be missed.

The mobile National Poetry Library will also be on Queen's Walk from 10 am - 5 pm on the same day and is well worth a visit before the show.

Stainsby Festival

Sunday 19 July

Stainsby, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Roger heads to the beloved Stainsby Festival for a packed day of poetry. He'll be judging the poetry competition in The Dome at 2.30pm, then returning to headline the Main Stage at 7.15pm for a full hour-long gig. One of the UK's most intimate and characterful folk and arts festivals - a real treat.

Henley in Arden Festival

Saturday 25 July, 8.20–9.20pm

Henley in Arden, Warwickshire

Roger performs an hour-long headline set at this wonderful community arts festival, preceded by a support poet from 7.30 pm. A lovely summer evening event.

Torbay Literary Festival

Friday 14 August, 2.30 - 4.30 pm

The Palace Theatre, Paignton, Devon

Roger takes to the Main Stage at Torbay Literary Festival for a two-hour afternoon event at the magnificent Palace Theatre - a 400-capacity venue in the heart of the English Riviera. A fantastic occasion if you're in the South West.
